Question 1

What does NabyDev do?

Accepted Answer

NabyDev Ltd builds websites, web apps, mobile apps and custom software, and provides IT support and cybersecurity services for businesses. If you are not sure which of these you need, tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will suggest a sensible starting point.

Question 2

Who is behind NabyDev?

Accepted Answer

NabyDev was founded by Mouhamed Sow, an IT engineer with 11 years of experience in the IT industry. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, NabyDev has delivered over 5,000 projects for its clients.

Question 3

Where do you work?

Accepted Answer

We are based in Glasgow, Scotland, and we work with clients across the UK. Most projects can be run remotely, with calls and screen sharing whenever we need to talk something through.

Question 4

Do you work with startups and small businesses?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with startups, small businesses and established organisations. We will help you decide what is worth building first, so you do not pay for more than you need.

Question 5

How does a project start?

Accepted Answer

You send us an enquiry through the contact form, or by chatting with Saira, our AI assistant. We then arrange a call to understand what you need, and after that we send you a written quote that sets out what we will deliver.

Question 6

How long does a project take?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the scope. A simple website takes far less time than a custom web app, for example. We give you an estimate of the timeline in your written quote, and we will tell you promptly if anything changes.

Question 7

Can you improve or rebuild an existing website or app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can review what you have, then recommend whether it is better to improve it step by step or to rebuild parts of it. We will explain the options and the trade-offs before you commit to anything.

Question 8

How does pricing work?

Accepted Answer

We price work either as a fixed quote or as agreed milestones, depending on what suits the project. There are no hidden fees: your quote sets out what is included, and any change to the scope is agreed with you in writing first.

Question 9

How do payments and deposits work?

Accepted Answer

Payment terms, deposits and milestones are set out in your quote or invoice. Prices exclude VAT unless the quote says otherwise.

Question 10

Who owns the work?

Accepted Answer

You own your own content and, once you have paid in full, the bespoke deliverables we create for you. We keep our pre-existing tools, code libraries and know-how, and third-party and open-source components stay under their own licences.

Question 11

Do you provide hosting and domains?

Accepted Answer

We can help you choose and set up hosting and a domain name. These services are provided by third-party companies under their own terms and fees, and your quote will make clear what is included in our work.

Question 12

Do you offer maintenance and support after launch?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can look after your website or app once it is live, including updates and fixes. If you want ongoing support, we will agree what it covers with you in writing.

Question 13

What cybersecurity services do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We offer security reviews of your websites, apps and systems, help with hardening them, and practical advice on reducing your risk. We will explain what we find in plain language and what is worth fixing first.

Question 14

How do I get support?

Accepted Answer

Email us and describe the problem, and tell us which project it relates to. A member of our team will reply to you by email.

Question 15

Who is Saira?

Accepted Answer

Saira is our AI assistant on the home page. She is an automated assistant, not a person. You can type or speak questions to her about NabyDev, and she answers from the information on our website. For other topics she points you to Google or ChatGPT. She can also take your enquiry, and a member of our team then replies to you by email.

Question 16

How is my data handled?

Accepted Answer

We use the details you give us only to respond to you and to run our business, in line with UK data protection law. Our privacy policy explains what we collect, who we share it with and your rights.

Question 17

How do I contact you?

Accepted Answer

Use the contact form on our home page, chat with Saira, or email us directly. We will get back to you by email.

Question 18

What if my project does not fit neatly into one service?

Accepted Answer

That is quite common. Many projects combine, say, a website, some custom software and a security review. Tell us what you need and we will put together a plan that covers it.
